Sharing Referrals with Your Friends and Family

When you consider using any new product or service, nothing is more powerful than someone you trust vouching for it. Every day customers share Poplin with their friends—and that means the world to us. 

We want it to be easy, satisfying and rewarding for you to share Poplin with your friends, family and followers. This article will help you understand what tools and options you have to share the life-changing Poplin laundry service. 

“Referrals”

In the Poplin app you’ll find the “Referrals” section. Today, there are two different referrals you can share. 

1. Give $10, Get $10:

You have people in your life who are ready, willing and able to outsource their laundry to a Poplin Laundry Pro. They need no convincing—but $10 would sure make them feel good about placing their first order. When they try the service, you get rewarded, too.

1. Your Friend: Gets $10 toward their first Poplin order as a new customer. 
2. You: Get $10 in credits added to your Poplin account after the new customer has their first order delivered. This incentive is eligible for up to the first 20 customers referred to Poplin. (Ex: As a referrer, you will receive $10 for the first 20 people who complete their first Poplin order from one of your referrals. Any new customer who uses your link to place their first order will get $10 in Poplin credits.)

2. Give $20, Get $0

You may have someone in your life who is overwhelmed—and would love Poplin. But sometimes it’s hard to recognize your problem, ask for help and work it into the budget. By inviting them to Poplin with a gift of a free first order ($20 in Poplin credits), you give them a no-risk way to experience what their new life could be like—and they know that you really mean it because you're not being rewarded by Poplin.

1. Your Friend: Gets $20 toward their first Poplin order as a new customer. 
2. You: Don’t get rewarded in Poplin credits, but get to be the hero to your friends and family. Talk about warm fuzzies. 

Recommend your 5-star Laundry Pro

Once you have rated a Laundry Pro with five stars, you can include them in a referral to a friend. Simply chose which type of referral you're sharing in the referral screen, select your Laundry Pro, and click “Next" to generate the unique QR code and link.

When you include your Laundry Pro in a referral, your friend will see your Laundry Pro on their Preferred list as they place their first order. 

Sharing your Laundry Pro helps everyone: 

• Your Laundry Pro gets a new customer and a delightful compliment. 
• Your friend is likely to be serviced by the same Laundry Pro that made you a fan of Poplin. 
• And you get to be the hero who made the match.

Sharing Referrals

For any of these referral options, you can either show your QR code in person or share your referral link digitally.

Show QR Code In Person

Open your app and show your QR code when:

• Your neighbor asks about the beautiful deliveries you get each week
• Your co-worker shares how they "just can't get it all done"
• A mom at a playground shares how overwhelmed she is

Share Referral Link

Click the “Share referral link” button to:

• Post a delivery picture and referral link on Facebook to let your friends know how Poplin has reduced your stress
• Share your referral link in a comment on a friend’s Instagram post about parenting life hacks
• Send a text message to a friend who just had a baby and needs some support

Referral Limits

Existing Customers Sending Referrals 

As a current customer, you can refer Poplin to as many people as you like. You are rewarded for these referrals when your referred customer has their first order successfully delivered. 

• You can be rewarded with Poplin credits for up to 20 customers  
• There is no limit to the number of new customers that can redeem your referral

New Customers Redeeming Referrals 

New customers can redeem referrals and gain credits if they meet the following conditions:

• They have not already placed an order with Poplin
• They have not already redeemed a referral
• No one at their address has already redeemed a referral or coupon incentive
