We launched Poplin in 2018 with a flat rate of $1/pound. Since then, the cost of living for our Laundry Pros in most areas has increased substantially…

• Housing prices increased 35%.
• Gas prices increased 33%.
• Utilities increased 31%.
• Auto insurance increased 29%.
• Laundry detergent increased 25%.
• Food prices increased 25%. 
• Washer/dryer prices increased 20%.

Rising costs have made it increasingly difficult for your Laundry Pro to make ends meet. This is all of our problem, because Laundry Pros have to earn enough in order to continue to provide you excellent service.

Part of Poplin's price per pound and the minimum order amount you'll see when placing an order is based on the area of where an order is placed, where the price of the service will reflect the cost of living and the economic conditions in each area. 

You will always see the price per pound and minimum order amount for your area in clearly stated in multiple places during the order process.

  • This is the difference between your laundry charges and the minimum order amount where the laundry order was placed. So, if the minimum in your area is $30 and your laundry charges were only $20.10, then your "Fair earnings adjustment" would be $9.90. Again, having a fair minimum order amount ensures that your orders are accepted quickly and are more likely to be accepted by one of your Preferred Laundry Pros.
