Frequent Fees
Trust and Safety Fee
Poplin operates and continually makes improvements based on the needs of our growing community. We perform background checks and identity verification on every Laundry Pro service provider. We also establish, monitor, and constantly iterate on trust and safety guidelines throughout the community. Poplin charges a small $3 Trust & Safety Fee per order to support these efforts.
Infrequent Fees
Unsafe/Unsanitary Fee
During the checkout process, you agree to not send unsafe or unsanitary items to your Laundry Pro. If you violate this policy there you may incur a $20 Unsafe or Unsanitary Fee.
Missed Pickup Fee
After placing an order, you are asked to place your laundry at your designated pickup location. If your Laundry Pro arrives and your laundry is not at the designated pickup location , you may incur a $10 Missed Pickup Fee.
Surge Pricing Fee
Poplin is always recruiting and incentivizing Laundry Pros to service orders. Sometimes there are areas in which Poplin has a difficult time finding a Laundry Pro to service a customer. This happens very infrequently, but when it happens you may see an additional “Surge” amount in your order estimate prior to placing an order. You are asked to approve this Surge Fee prior to placing your order, and you have the option to cancel your order before incurring this fee.
A surge fee may range from $6-$50 with a median surge amount of $17.40 when this article was written in April 2024.
